Women in Nexans : QICC Women in action towards Diversity

Oct 30, 2018

The 2nd WiN assembly was held last October 23, 2018 QICC's Mesaieed Plant with a coffee session with the CEO, Max André Delannoy.

To express the Management Team's commitment to Women in Nexans in QICC, Max André Delannoy, CEO joined their quarterly open forum.  Each woman in QICC had a chance to express themselves during the coffee break session with the CEO. The session was opened with a short message from Max delivering the strong commitment of QICC management towards Nexans strategic goal of diversity.

"I am convinced that diversity, being in terms of background, nationality or gender brings value to a company by enabling to address opportunities and challenges with different and complementary perspectives. As a whole, QICC is already quite diverse, but we need to look for more diversity in each team. I notably encourage all the women in QICC to dare to grow and show their talent."
Max André Delannoy, Nexans CEO

With diversity as a growing concern in Nexans for the past two years, the company's business-oriented initiative introduced WiN (Women in Nexans) in March of 2018. This initiative is part of the global diversity promotion policy of Nexans which aims to develop a more culturally diverse environment within the group.

A few of the topics discussed during the session were results of the internal survey carried-out to understand more where QICC women stand. Half of the session was an interesting exchange of work experience sharing and sharing of suggestions to improve work environment.

The next WiN assembly is expected on December of 2018.
