The objective of the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment procedure is to measure the quality of a company’s CSR management system – through its policies, actions and results.
The EcoVadis apparaisal is based upon seven principles. The objective is to judge the quality of a Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management system. The EcoVadis Rating covers a range of non-financial control systems including Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement impacts. Each company is rated on the material issues as they refer to their company's size, location and industry.
These evidence-based assessments are refined into easy to read scorecards, providing 0 to 100 scores, and medals, when applicable. Additionally, the scorecards provide guidance on strengths and improvement areas, which the rated companies may use to focus their sustainability efforts and develop corrective action plans to improve their sustainability performance.
Through the Enterprise subscription and associated services, EcoVadis provides a platform that helps large organizations to:
- attract their trading partners to be rated;
- govern trading partners' performance;
- encourage continuous improvement.
Until now, EcoVadis has rated over 75,000 trading partners worldwide, allaying risk for some of the world's largest organizations, while positively having impacts on the environments, fostering transparency and driving innovation.
